Spotify julkaisi tänään Nokian S60 puhelimille yhteensopivan version musiikkipalvelustaan. Palvelu on käytettävissä ainoastaan Premium asiakkaille ja palvelu toimii vain tietyillä Nokian S60 puhelinmalleilla.
Itselläni on Nokia E72 ja tähän ei palvelu ollut virallisen tiedon mukaan tuettuna. Lataussivustolta voi kuitenkin ladata E71 version, joka toimii myös E72:ssa, sillä jos mobiiliselaimella menee lataussivulle (m.spotify.com), niin se tarjoaa ladattavaksi N96 versiota ja tämä ei toimi kunnolla E72 laitteissa (portrait versus landscape).
E72:n kanssa tuli kuitenkin ongelma, koska sillä ei onnistunut sisäänkirjaantuminen, kun ohjelmisto ei osannut käyttää E72 qwerty näppäimistöä oikein. Ongelmaan löytyi kuitenkin ratkaisu verkosta:
- Install the Nokia E71 version of Spotify on your E72
- Install Nokia PC Suite (yes, I hate it!), choose USB cable connection.
- Make sure the phone is connectd in PC Suite mode.
- Install Remote Pro from mobileways.de (free trial works fine). Have to install one file in the phone (the sisx) and the exe on the PC.
- READ the simple instructions for Remote Pro.
- Start Remote Pro on the phone (options USB send hello to PC) and on the PC.
- Login to Spotify account from PC and in your account info add phone info.
- Change password at the same place to something easy to enter (I picked a numerical one just to be sure – 354666232 for example.
- Enter Spotify account information – userID and password using Remote pro and you PC KEYBOARD. You will not see the whole screen because the trial limitations, so click accept on the telephone.
- Once logged in – you never have to enter this again, and it all works.
